Having lived along the coast of Southern California and on Cape Cod, Melissa has over 20 years experience gardening with annuals, perennials and vegetables. She enjoys perennial gardening the best and keeps a flock of pet chickens and two beehives at her Cape Cod home. Recently she has enjoyed the challenge of transitioning over to organic gardening techniques. She also pens the award winning blog, Tilly's Nest, that chronicles her day to day adventures. Melissa has been featured in Country Living Magazine and on National Public Radio. She also serves on her town's Agricultural Commission.
